According to Wallethub, Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida was named America’s second most fun state in 2025.

Florida led the country with a number of restaurants, amusement parks, arcades and music festivals per person.

Wallethub compared 50 states with 26 key metrics of less expensive fun times.

According to Wallethub, key indicators ranged from film costs to accessibility in national parks, per capita nightlife options.

“Living in one of the most enjoyable states can boost your mental, physical and emotional well-being by offering a wide range of activities to choose from, both indoors and outdoors. These states help residents stay active and socialised.

Florida has the fourth most attraction per person and the seventh most diverse of arts, entertainment and recreational facilities.

Florida is also the 12th best weather overall, with the most marina and second most coastline per capita.

According to Wallethub, Floridians spend nearly $2,300 a year on recreational costs.

California ranked number one among the most fun states in America, while West Virginia ranked number 50.
