BUSNEL, Fla. (WFLA) – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating possible bomb threats at South Sumter Middle School.
All students and staff were evacuated to the Sumter Counter Fairgrounds.
Deputies swept the campus to ensure there was no threat to the school.
“Parents/guardians who want to check on students must come to the Sumter County fairgrounds and bring valid photo IDs for verification,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “We appreciate your cooperation and patience in working with law enforcement to ensure the safety of all involved. Updates will be provided as soon as possible.”
