SAN FRANCISCO (Kron) – A co-pilot on a Delta flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco has been identified as arrested when he landed at San Francisco International Airport. Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, of Florida, was arrested Saturday night for a sex crime against a child at SFO, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
According to law enforcement, Bhagwagar has been booked for five oral mating with children under the age of 10. Sheriff’s office officials said Monday.

The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff Investigating Division has been researching Bhagwagar since April. They secured a Rumy arrest warrant for him and learned that he would be flying to SFO before his arrest on Saturday.
The first reports after arrests that saw at least 10 officers prosecuting the plane’s cockpit, showed that the charges were related to child sexual abuse material.

Flight, Delta Air Lines Flight 2809, had just landed from Minneapolis when Homeland Security agents and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s deputies boarded the plane. Passengers on the flight posted a video online showing federal agents walking down the aisle of the plane.
A Delta spokesman on Sunday postponed comments to law enforcement. However, an airline spokesperson told Kron4 on Monday that “Delta has zero tolerance to illegal activities and will fully cooperate with law enforcement.”
“We are openly accused reporting of accusations related to the arrest, and the individual in question has been suspended waiting for an investigation,” they added.
The arrest was made as part of an investigation by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigation officials told KRON4. Although the HSI supported, federal agents were on the scene primarily to have access to the plane to make arrests to Contra Costa County lawmakers.
Bagwagar, who was reportedly once residing in East Bay, was booked at Martinez Prison.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation is ongoing.
