MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A 27-year-old woman was taken to hospital after a crocodile pulled temporarily through the water and bit her hand in the Florida River, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman, boyfriend and dog set up a boat on the South Fork River near Southwest Linden Street on Wednesday.

Martin County deputies said that when the woman was in deep waist water with her dog, Gator bit her hands and wrists, “temporarily pulling her.”

After Gator let go of the woman, her boyfriend drove her to a boat ramp at Charlie Layton Park, deputies said.
