Most voters oppose amnesty for illegal immigration

For the past two months, when President Donald Trump was asked about deporting “all illegals” in the United States, he replied that he was open to the idea of a “temporary pass” for illegals working in Florida’s agriculture and hospitality industry.

It opened the door for some Republicans and Democrats to advance the talk of a bipartisan approach to the possibility of pardon.

However, a new poll from Tea Party’s Patriot Action found that most Americans oppose the story of pardoning for American illegals.

77% of American voters said that if the Trump administration or Congress grants pardons to illegal immigrants, it would be “not fair or right.” 13% supported the pardon, and about 11% said they were undecided.

Among the parties, 86% of Republicans oppose pardoning against illegal foreigners. 71% of Democrats opposed it, and 71% of “swing voters” said Amnesty was wrong.

President Trump’s deportation program remains a strong source of support among voters.

About 56% supported the idea that “everyone who has illegally entered the country should be deported, regardless of their employment status, whether they committed or may have committed any additional crimes, regardless of their employment status,” and 34% of voters opposed it.

When deporting all illegal aliens, whether convicted or not, of the crime, 79% of GOP voters said yes, while most Democrats only 33% said yes. The poll states that “52% of swing voters supported deporting all illegals.

The vote also asked: Should a personal vote show evidence of US citizenship and a valid ID? 83% responded “Yes.” Among the parties, Republicans (92%), Democrats (73%) and “swing voters (82%) all agreed.

Additionally, 79% of voters supported the government requesting IDs when it comes to voting via email, abroad, or via absentees.
