TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The Florida Highway Patrol has done it again.

The agents’ Black Cruisers and Tank Cruisers have been called “the best look” in America for the third year in a row. It’s a historic victory as no other states have won for the third year in a row.

The 2025 America’s most beautiful-looking cruiser contest, held by the American Association of State Troopers (AAST), recorded 49 entries from agencies across the United States.

The FHP award-winning photo featured a black and tan Corvette cruiser set against the sunset in Miami. The city’s iconic skyline could be seen in the distance.

The Troopers described the photo as “a homage to Florida’s energy, strength and beauty, and the pride that FHP represents every corner of the nation.”

The contest began on June 30th, followed by two weeks of intense online voting. Officials said FHP won “one of the closest finishes in the history of the contest.”

“This first-ever three peat is the creativity of our team, the mission of our agency, and the thousands of Floridians who have once again gathered behind us,” said Dave Kerner, executive director of FLHSMV.

The Florida award-winning photos will appear on the cover of the 2026 Aast America’s most beautiful cruiser calendar. Proceeds will be directed to scholarships for national soldier children across the country.

“This victory is to benefit every day from a strong partnership and a shared commitment to public safety, for everyone who has participated, and for the public, every day,” said FHP Colonel Gary Hause. “Thank you, Florida, for making history together with us!”
