Two Florida teens face felony charges after joining the virus tiktok trend

Debary, FLA (WFLA) – Two Volsia County teens have landed on felony charges after saying they had joined the virus Tiktok trend known as the “door kick challenge.”

A video posted to social media by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office showed a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl kicking at the front door of a neighbor until it broke.

Deputies tracked down the 15-year-old and said, “I’m just stupid.” They then went to the 13-year-old house, where the girl’s mother allowed them to search for her. Deputies said they found her hiding in the attic.

The Volsia County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind the public that the challenge is a surefire way to end it on a felony charge, or even worse, it will be shot and killed by a homeowner.

Parents should talk to their children about this trend and the dangers of participating in it.

Both teenagers are currently facing felony robbery charges.
