OCALA, Fla. (WFLA) – Head of sheriff cor, who was in the right place at the right time, helped arrest a suspected gas station burglar in Ocala on Saturday.
Around 9:45pm, Chief Michael Stringer Cor stopped at seven Vevens in the 9400 block of SE Baseline Road to refuel the patrol vehicle. As he was doing so, a clerk pumped him up to him and reported that someone had stole a beer case from inside.
The dash camera on his vehicle recorded the incident and Chief Stringer Corp was able to follow the suspect’s vehicle when he left the parking lot.
A video posted to social media by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office shows that Chief Stringer Corp is about to implement a traffic stop, but the vehicle did not comply.
After a short pursuit, the video shows the stringer Corp length performing a pit operation to stop the vehicle. The Corp then arrested driver Jaitai Williams, 31, and said, “What’s going on?”
During this time, 48-year-old Raymond Millick, the passenger in the front seat of the vehicle, allegedly threw away some items from the vehicle. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said field testing for the drugs revealed it contained THC, cocaine and fentanyl.
Backseat passenger Stephen Hogan, 19, was accused of stealing from the store. Three cases of the Modelo were located near where he was sitting in the car.
All three were taken and booked at the Marion County Jail.
