TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida Prepaid is launching two summer incentives to encourage families who want to start saving for their children’s future.

Families who open a Florida 529 Savings Plan account from May 1 to June 30th will receive a $50 donation from Florida Prepaid College Board.

Additionally, in partnership with Florida State Parks for the fourth consecutive year, Florida Prepaid will host a sweepstakes in exploration education, win one of the $1,000 Florida 529 Savings Plan Scholarships for families, and explore Florida’s award-winning state parks through the Junior Ranger program.

Each winner will also be featured in a Florida State Park-themed prize pack, as well as an inflatable stand-up paddle board, hammock and more. Families will be able to participate in the prize until June 30th.

The Florida 529 Savings Plan is available only to Florida residents and can be used nationwide to cover eligible education costs such as tuition, rooms, board of directors, books and supplies.
