st. Augustine, Fla. (WFLA) – Both shoes and shirt are fine for deputies at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office who stopped him in a pit maneuver after chasing a barefoot, shirtless man on the street.
In early June, a concerned citizen notified police a suspicious man near a mall in St. Augustine.
The lawmakers spotted 27-year-old William Middleton, driving irregularly, heading in the wrong direction and threw trash through the window.
As the aide tried to stop him, he continued driving, slamming his brakes multiple times and thrust his middle finger up at the officer.
Middleton continued to escape at high speed, swinging around the busy streets, and slightly lacking head-on collisions with other drivers.
The deputy was able to deflate the appropriate tire with a stop stick and then stop the vehicle with pit operation. Middleton finally left the car barefoot, shirtless, and salsa music exploded in the background.
He was charged with DUI, reckless driving, fleeing and fleeing, and possession of drug equipment.
