Witnesses identify shooters in the murder of 14-year-old Tampatine

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – In May 2022, Ronnie Walker shot 14-year-old Nilexia Alexander multiple times, leaving the body in an empty lot on West Florida Braska Avenue, according to prosecutors.

Nilexia’s mother, Ashley Alexander, rose to her feet in tears on Thursday to identify her daughter in a video shown in court.

“It’s really, really bad”: family of girls bitten by a shark shared story, thank you doctor

“That Nylexia. It’s Nylexia. Her walks, her hair, her skin tone,” Ashley Alexander said.

Robert Creed, who was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, also stood up on Thursday.

“I heard the gunshot. I jumped. I saw her as I jumped. I saw her. I saw her. I saw the back seat, I saw her holding her breasts,” Creed said.

Walker’s defense team claims it was a creed that pulled the trigger. In testimony on Thursday, Creed pointed his finger directly to Walker. Creed is currently being billed as an accessory after the fact. He said he was afraid of his life after witnessing the murder.

“He went back to the car and jumped off and said, ‘Don’t say anything, don’t tell anyone, don’t say anything, don’t say anyone.” Or he’s going to kill me too,” Creed said.

This isn’t the first time Walker has had a legal problem. In 2010 he was found guilty of manslaughter in the 2003 shooting death of a Tampa woman while breaking into her home. If convicted of Nylexia’s murder, Walker faces the death penalty.
