Amazing American fleet closing for milestone donations for veterans

Clearwater, Fla. (WFLA) – In a packed house at Bart’s Barracuda Harley Davidson, riders and enthusiasts gathered for one mission to meet the man behind it.

YouTube star and philanthropist Adam Sandoval is using his social media platform to raise $1 million for the injured Warrior project. It took him three years, but he’s approaching his goal.

“I didn’t think it would be this big given that we’re raising $1 million on a great American convoy for just three years. But now we’re so close, it’s just a scramble and an effort to achieve that goal,” Sandoval said.

This year’s convoy began on May 24th in San Antonio, Texas.

“We were all on the California-Arizona border, and now we’re on our way back across the country,” Sandoval said.

All the pennies who grew up are back in the injured warrior project. For veterans like Thomas Brown, who runs a local charity outreach for homeless veterans, getting involved in the ride means even more.

“That’s all I’m dealing with. Veterans, especially homeless veterans. I have PTSD. I met many veterans who have PTSD and handle them better than others,” Brown said.

The great American convoy will continue through Florida on June 14th at its final stop at Daytona.
