Sports Bra, the country’s first sports bar dedicated to women’s sports, has expanded to four new locations: Boston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas and St. Louis.
The original sports bra, which opened in Portland, Oregon in April 2022, was the brainchild of entrepreneur Jenny Nuguen, who wanted to create a space to celebrate women and girls in sports.

Since then, other women-centric sports bars have been born nationwide, including Denver’s 99ers sports bar, Seattle’s Rough & Tumble, and Phoenix’s Title 9 Sports Grill.
“The first four sports bra franchises will be participating in the OG Portland location, making it “Start 5.” Together, we are not only advocating for women’s sports, but also serving fans who are hungry for spaces that create a community where everyone feels like they’re opening these places.

Last year, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s 776 Foundation invested in sports bras with the intention of expanding through the franchise. Potential investors were invited to apply for the franchise in October.
All new locations are locally owned and operated, highlighting local and women’s own drinks and foods.
