On Saturday, the city held the Harpi Festival at Albert Whit Park along the waterfront in St. Petersburg. This is a free event celebrating the rich cultural heritage and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Island communities. “Harpi” stands for “honoring Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.”

The event celebrates the Asian American and Pacific Islands (AAPI) heritage month in May. It helps us to observe and influence the important role Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders have played in US history.
