AdventHealth has announced its biggest expansion ever. It is a $660 million, 14-storey patient and surgical tower. The development is part of a broader $1 billion long-term investment aimed at strengthening healthcare services in central Florida.

The new tower will include 24 operating rooms, endoscopy, imaging services, and 440 hospitalized beds. Located south of King Street, the facility is designed with cutting-edge technology to meet the growing health needs of the region. Construction is expected to be completed by 2030.

Rob Deininger, CEO of AdventHealth Orlando, highlighted the organization’s commitment to evolving with the needs of its community. He said the project, which has been planned for over a decade, reflects its commitment to providing advanced care for the next 20-30 years.

In addition to expanding patient capabilities, the project aims to create hundreds of new jobs and strengthen services in a variety of specialties. The initiative also includes recruiting and training additional physicians, nurses and clinical staff.

Architectural design is managed by Brasfield & Gorrie as general contractors and by Huntonbrady. This expansion highlights the role of AdventHealth Orlando as a leading healthcare provider, particularly in higher fields such as organ transplantation, cardiac surgery and cancer treatment. This initiative is a strategic response to the rapid population growth of central Florida and ensures that the community’s healthcare infrastructure is meeting its needs.
