Florida beaches boast a “pristine” setting. And it is one of the best coastal destinations in the world, a new report discovers.
According to results released on April 29, Siesta Beach ranks 42nd in the list of top 50 beaches worldwide.
To create a list, the website The World’s 50 Best Beaches said they contacted thousands of travel experts and asked them to vote for their favorite beach. The team reviewed the submissions focusing on how the destination continued across eight metrics: “unique” landscapes, coastal wildlife, environments under the raedal, non-natural noise levels, accessibility, calm waters, low crowds, and ideal weather.
“Our mission is to encourage travelers to go beyond the typical tourist hotspots and discover the kind of beach experience they’ve always dreamed of. It’s a truly breathtaking, peaceful, and unforgettable place.”
Why does Florida Beach feel special?
Siesta Beach was the only place in the US to win a spot on the global list. About 65 miles by car south of Tampa, the destination in Siesta Key has cool white sand on hot days, according to the 50 best beaches of the world.
“The calm slopes of the beach are combined with shallow, calm waters, making them perfect for swimming and swimming, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the family,” the website wrote in its report. “Siesta Beach is also known for its natural environment, not free from its natural environment.
It’s not the first time Siesta Beach has been highly recognized. In February, Florida’s Gulf destination was named the number one beach in the country. In these rankings, review website TripAdvisor calls the beach a fan favorite because of its clear water, shells and proximity to other attractions, McClatchy News reported.
“There are lifeguards on duty on the beach, but the relaxed town has all the nearby cafes and oyster bars walking and riding bikes,” TripAdvisor wrote in its report. “Visitors can spot wildlife like manatees and dolphins during their kayak tours and enjoy the beautiful sunsets of Soft Sand Beach.”
On the latest list, the world’s top ranking beach was Karagorolizze, located on Sardinia, Italy.
