A Florida woman claims a $5 million final award from a $20 scratch-off ticket

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida woman is now a multi-millionaire after winning the final top award from a $20 scratch-off ticket.

The Florida lottery announced Friday that 54-year-old Lucinda Joseph Run has claimed a $5 million award from a $5,000,000 crossword cash scratch game at Tallahassee’s lottery headquarters.

Joseph Run purchased a victory ticket at Gate Oil Company, located at 60 Airport Center Drive in Jacksonville.

The language-themed game offers cash awards of over $239.6 million. It included four top awards for $5 million, all of which were billed as of Thursday.

The overall victory odds for the game are 1-in-2.9.
