PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Charter captain, at the heart of viral video, faces many new accusations and citations after authorities say additional violations committed during previous fishing trips have been revealed.
Brock Horner, 40, was arrested by Punta Gouda police just days after a video of him screaming and cursing at Fisherman Gage Towls began to spread throughout the internet.
A Florida State Judge was arrested on charges of DUI found with cocaine during a traffic stop: affidavit
The incident took place in early April under the Baron Collier Bridge. The detective said the moment Horner got on the Towls boat and climbed it turned into a crime.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Committee (FWC) was also conducting its own investigation into the incident.
By April 11, FWC officials said they were finding possible causes for claiming Horner on misdemeanor for Fisher’s harassment and cited careless manipulation of the vessel.
But their investigations also revealed more about another March 29 charter fishing trip, which operates under Horner’s business, Tarpon Coast Fishing Charters.
FWC officials said Horner was determined to operate without a valid Saltwater Charter license and without using improperly registered vessels.
These violations resulted in two new citations and a second misdemeanor charge against the charter captain, court documents said.
The US Coast Guard was also investigating the incident. Click here to watch the entire virus video.
