JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — A newly released video shows more than a dozen bystanders intervening in Florida to stop driving with her mother and her two children.
The arrest affidavit revealed that a man and a woman were heading to Jacksonville DMV when they attacked the face while driving on March 12th. When he arrived at the DMV, the man was late to his appointment, which made him “even more annoyed.”
The Florida mom stabbed her 3-year-old daughter 20 times with a big knife, the affidavit says
The woman escaped from the SUV and grabbed one of the children. When she went to unleash her second child, the man identified as 26-year-old Yanni Human runs away as she desperately tried to pull out the other child. The man confronted the mother’s will and dragged her and one of her children into the parking lot.
The children involved were two and six months old, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The video captured the moment when humans began driving as more than a dozen good Samaritans rushed towards the vehicle to help the victim. Bystanders could safely take the mother and her child before the humans could escape, and bystanders could take the second child out of the car, the affidavit said.
“A good Samaritan could intervene during a dangerous situation, causing serious injuries or worsening of the mother and two children,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.
Deputies later pursued the man outside the shopping centre, where he secured him to the ground and arrested him.

“What did I do?” the human repeatedly asked the agent.
After detaining the suspect, deputies found two fully loaded magazines, including a 45-caliber live round in the center console, along with loose marijuana in the passenger seat.
Humans face several charges, including child abuse, false imprisonment, battery, marijuana possession, and resistance to non-violent officers.
The affidavit reveals that the woman has experienced worse domestic violence over the past six months, and told officials there is video evidence that she is threatening to kill her.
“This situation may have ended in a tragedy,” the sheriff’s office said. “Your JSO appreciates the prompt action and courage of a good Samaritan who helped him step up and put the suspect on trial.”
