Bay County, Fla. (WMBB) — The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a woman accused of tempting herself as a federal immigration officer and luring local residents.
The incident occurred on April 10, 2025, when BCSO lawmakers responded to a call about a suspicious incident at Bridge Plaza Apartment. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the victim who reported being invited earlier that day.
Investigators learn that the suspect, identified as the Battle of Hatran, approached the victim at her employment location, where she takes an agent position alongside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Battle wore a black shirt marked with “ice” and displayed what looked like a business card in the sheriff’s office and carried a handheld radio to support her impersonation.
According to BCSO, the battle instructed the victim to leave with her. The victim, who is in the process of becoming a legal US resident, said she really believes the fight is an ice agent and truly believes she has adhered to fear.
While in the car, the fight allegedly snatched a call from her when the victim tried to contact her attorney and her husband. The victim became suspicious when he arrived at an apartment on the Bridge Square instead of a law enforcement facility, as the battle claimed. When the fight broke into the apartments alone, the victim took advantage of the opportunity to escape and immediately contacted law enforcement.
The La Trans Battle was later found in Fountain, Florida, and reportedly on its way to Alabama. She has been detained and currently faces multiple felony charges, including a lure at a felony committee, a sudden snatch robbery, impersonating a law enforcement officer at a felony committee, and a felony probation violation.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office praised the victims for their courage and prompt action, and reminded the public that all legitimate law enforcement officers should present appropriate qualifications and follow established procedures.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
