TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida State University amended its announcement that classes will resume Monday, offering flexible options for students and staff.

FSU resumes classes on Monday

Yesterday, the university announced that classes and regular operations will resume on campus on Monday.

After last Thursday’s fatal shooting, some responded that many students may feel unprepared to return to campus.

In a statement released last night, FSU President Richard McCullough said many courses could offer remote options to students.

“Student: If we decide not to attend classes this week, we understand,” McCullough wrote.

He continued to say that mandatory attendance policies will be abandoned and that the university will be exempt from absence.
