Spring is gushing out in Florida, with warm temperatures, beautiful flowers and pollen floating through the air for the Easter season. On holiday weekends, Orlando area churches, businesses and attractions plan to host families for Easter egg hunts and activities.

Here are some ideas on how to celebrate Easter in central Florida.

Easter Egg Hunt

The city of Ocoee hosts its annual “Easter Egg Strabaganza” with helicopter egg drops, egg hunting, games, music, rides and food trucks outside the Ocoee Lakeshore Center. The event will be on 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, OCOEE, from 11:30am to 2pm on April 19th. Before the outdoor festivities, families can attend Easter Bunny and breakfast from 8:30am to 10:30am for $12 per person. The Magic 107.7 Easter Egg Hunt brings the experience for kids to jump on the bunny trail and search for hidden eggs between nine different hunts. The free festival will be at 155 W. Warren Ave. in downtown Longwood from 9:30am on April 19th. On the same morning, starting at 9am, there will be photoshoots of sausage pate, pancakes, drinks and Easter Bunny for $9 per adult and Easter Bunny for ages 3-10 per child. In addition to egg hunting, Orlando launches will feature arts and crafts, Easter bunny photos and indoor jumps. Independent time slots are prepared for specific ages with infant hours from 8am to 10am, special needs egg hunting at 9:30am, and “big kids” times from 10am on April 19th from 10am to 6-10 years old. God’s Faith Assembly has children’s activities on each of the three campuses, including an activity zone, a food truck, and a back-to-back Easter egg hunt every 30 minutes. The festival will be held on April 19th from 10am to 1pm. The campus is located at Casselbury, 2641 Red Bagh Lake Road, 2740 E. Michigan Avenue, 9307 Curryford Road and Orlando. Central Florida Zoo offers Easter Bunny and “Hippie Hop Adventures” to give you the chance to collect sweets, make crafts and play the game. The Easter Bunny is available for photography with young people. The festival will take place April 19th from 9am to 4pm and is included in Zoo Entrance ($19.95-$27.95) at 3755 W. Oviedo’s Crosslife Church brings kids a morning of “Egg Stravan” including games, inflatables, Easter egg hunts, entertainment, and food trucks. The free event will take place on April 19th at 45 W. Broadway Avenue in Oviedo from 10am to 1pm. More information: crosslifechurch.com

Island H2O Live hosts “Egg Strabaganza” for water park visitors, where eggs are hidden for younger guests to discover. Prizes include free snacks and free cabanas. The hunt included in park entry is April 19-20 at 3230 Inspiration Drive in Kissimmee. More information: IslandH2owaterpark.com

Central Florida Visitor Information Center in Davenport will host an Easter event at the top of the hour with activities, gifts and egg hunts for kids. Visitors may win a special award at Davenport’s 101 Adventure Court from 9am April 19th to November 19th. More details: Visit centralflorida.org

Lake Eola Park will host the Easter Egg Hunt and Festival at 512 E. Washington Avenue in Orlando on April 20th from 10:30am to 4pm. More information: downtownorlando.com

Cross Church welcomes families for two comprehensive celebrations over Easter weekend. The first Easter Egg Hunt, on April 19th, at 3:30pm, is tailored to a special needs community with sensory options, eggs for visually impaired children, mobility-friendly areas and beeps. Easter Sunday brings celebrations with children’s festivals, including snacks, balloon animals, yard games, photo booths, and Easter egg hunts. This experience will be available at 700 Good Homes Road in Orlando at 10:15am on April 20th. More information: catcorlando.com

Family-friendly events

Eating, praying and swimming at Lucky’s Lake Swim is a Central Florida tradition dating back at least 10 years. The sunrise service begins at 6:55am on April 20th, followed by an open water swim and a pancake breakfast. Of course, swimming is not necessary for all worshippers. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the event at 6645 Lake Cane Drive in Orlando. More information: luckyslakeswim.com

SeaWorld Orlando offers a free Easter Sunrise service to work with Z88.3 FM and JWLKRS to lead worship services. Matt conveys his Easter message from what he hears from Thrive Ministries. The gate will open at 5am and services will begin on April 20th at 6:30am at 7007 SeaWorld Drive in Orlando. Details: zradio.org

Gaylord Palms Resort will be offering families spring until April 20th. Visitors will be able to find garden displays in the resort’s atrium, new light shows, themed escape rooms and animal encounters. In the era of choice between April 19th and 20th, young people can meet and greet Easter Bunny. The spring festival will take place by April 20th at 6000 W. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. Winter Park’s Morse Museum is free to enter from Fridays during Easter Weekend, in addition to live music from 5 to 8pm. The museum will be on 445 N. Park Avenue in Winter Park from 9:30am to 8pm on April 18th, 9:30am to 4pm on April 19th, and 1-4pm on April 20th. Details:morsemuseum.org

The promenade at Sunset Walk will host Easter car and truck shows on Saturdays during Easter Weekend, with live music, appearances by DJ Jennifer. Easter Bunny and thousands Easter Eggs hidden around the promenade and distributed by showcar drivers. All makers and models are invited to participate in the show. The free event will begin on April 191 at 9am at 3251 Margaritaville Blvd. In Kissimmee. More information: sunsetwalk.com

Old Town Kissimmee will offer Easter Bunny Meat and greetings on April 19th from 2-4pm at Kissimmee 5770 W. Ilro Bronson Memorial Highway. More information: myoldtownusa.com

Icon Park allows visitors to take photos with the Easter Bunny, and all photo packages purchased include a free ride to the promenade’s carousel. Guests can also receive discounts to Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Sea Life Orlando Aquarium. The experience is available daily from 10am to 8pm at 8375 International Drive in Orlando, for $20 per adult or $10 per child. Advanced reservations are required. The Millennia Mall is offering photos of the Easter Bunny celebrating the season at 4200 Conroy Road in Orlando until April 19th. A $15 deposit is required to book online. More information: mallatmillenia.com

Florida Mall will be offering families the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny on Orlando’s S. Orange Blossom Trail starting April 19th. Online bookings are recommended, but walk-ups are available. More information: Simon.com
