DeSantis signs the death warrant for Hillsboro Killer Glen Rogers

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Glenn Rogers’ death warrant on Tuesday. Glenn Rogers was ordered to die in 1995 Hillsboro County in 1995’s murder of a woman.

The 1997 ju judge unanimously recommended that Rogers be sentenced to death for the vicious stabbing wounds of Tina Marie Cribbs, whom he had met and romanticized.

Desantis ordered that 62-year-old Rogers be executed on May 15th.

Rogers, who traveled widely around the country, is suspected of other murders. He was called the “Casanova Killer” and “Cross-Country Killer” in the media.

Rogers is suspected in other murders. After he was convicted in Florida, he was brought to trial for the murder of a woman who left in a burning car strangled in California. Again, Rogers was sentenced to death.

The defense team at the OJ Simpson Murder Trial pointed him out as a possible alternative suspect in the murder of former Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman.

Except for his last minute stay, Rogers’ execution will be the fourth Florida has carried out this year. It is set to occur 15 days after the scheduled veteran of war, Jeffrey Hutchinson, who was ordered to die for the murder of a family shotgun in Okaloosa County. Hutchinson’s lawyers have asked the court to stop his execution, offering evidence that he is suffering from Gulf War Syndrome.

This is a developing story. Check tampabay.com for updates.
