Palm Coast, Fla. (WFLA) – Popeyeth employees are joining the prison, allegedly stole customer credit cards and sent money to prisoners in state prisons.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, the customer reported that he saw an employee of Palm Coast slap her credit card twice while he was on the drive-thru once on his mobile phone.

The victim said later that day she found a charge of $311.90 on her account.

Polk County woman is running through her estranged husband’s new girlfriend, deputies say

Detectives have discovered that a Popeye employee, identified as 48-year-old Chanik Lichberg of the Palm Coast, will use the victim’s money to pay the committee to inmates at Appalachie Correctional Facility, a state prison for Snead men.

“The woman thought she could get away by stealing from a client and giving money to prisoners in state prisons,” Sheriff Rick Staley said. “However, unfortunately for her, the client was paying attention and realising the fraudulent accusation, which led Richard to join her friends in prison!”

Lichbug was arrested on Popeyes on charges of unauthorized use of personal ID information, unauthorized use of credit cards, and illegal use of two-way communication devices. She was taken to a local prison and later released on a $7,500 bond.

WFLA.com contacted the state prisons seeking information about the inmates and funds sent.
