Tampa-based Trace Systems Inc. has secured a $352 million contract to provide advanced communications technology to its global US military operations.
This agreement supports the US Army Project Manager Tactical Network very small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) program. This is an important system for sending and receiving battlefield data. VSAT technology plays a key role in enabling safe and reliable communication for military forces deployed around the world.
Specializing in global defense communications, cloud-based services and other technology solutions, Trace Systems designs, deploys and maintains these systems to ensure operational potential for military personnel.
“We are excited to deepen our partnership with the US Army and PM tactical network,” Greg Filak, Vice President of Communications Solutions at Trace Systems, said in a company’s statement. “Combined with the recent $21 million satellite terminal modernization award and GAO’s recent decision in favour of Trace’s global FSR agreement, VSAT IV’s efforts reflect our commitment.
