WASHINGTON, D.C. (WFLA) – Florida representatives are calling for President Donald Trump and his administration, who runs a “government-funded temptation program,” following the recent detention of University of Florida students.
In a statement released Monday, Rep. Maxwell Frost (FL-10) crueled Trump’s administration since April 1 in pursuit of college students his family hasn’t heard of.
Felipe Zapata Velazquez, 27, is a third-year international student at UF and is in the state of F-1 visas. Rep. Frost said on March 28 that Zapata Velazquez was drawn to Gainesville police for a traffic violation but was later arrested and taken into custody by Ice.

Zapata Velazquez was taken to the Chrome Detention Center in Miami-Dade, where he was waiting for an exile order in “hell on Earth,” Rep. Frost said.
“Donald Trump and Ice run a government-funded temptation program,” he added. “Showing up in unmarked vans with unmarked clothing officers, they lure people on the streets and jailed inside the detention centre with little cause, without justification.”
Lawmakers argued that Trump was the sole criminal director in this situation, and that the president would hurt the American people and make the citizens believe that all immigrants will resolve the problems of the people.
“Donald Trump ran with the promise of deporting violent criminals and gang members. Instead, he invited the temptation to detain him, and saw it by any legal visa holder like Felipe, and anyone who opposed this administration,” Rep. Frost said.
Democrats concluded his statement by saying they would use all the tools he has at his disposal to keep the Trump administration accountable.
