MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) – Police body camera video shows a two-year-old child rescued from a “trap house” in Miami Beach.
On March 22, Miami Beach police were called to an apartment on 11th Avenue near Euclidean Avenue after receiving a drug complaint from property management, which observed “a huge amount of pedestrians.”
According to the affidavit, this was not the first time police have been called to the house. They responded to an overdose in their apartment on September 3rd and returned in January following reports of a domestic conflict.
A maintenance worker at the apartment drove police away about a child found inside the apartment during a repair visit.
The detective searched the apartment and found three packed guns there. Two of them were not hidden under the pillow. They also found pill bottles containing oxycodone, nearly 8 pounds of marijuana, cocaine buggies and more than $18,000 in cash.
The Miami Beach Police Department has arrested 35-year-old Keenetic Collins, the only tenant registered in the apartment.
In the video, Collins is seen leaving his shirtless apartment before being handcuffed.
The affidavit shows that the father of the infant, Stephen Rich, 29, has also been arrested.
The Florida charter captain saw him discussing with the boater on a viral video. Police investigation
The video shows a woman carrying the child as she leaves the building. According to NBC affiliate WTVJ, she is babysitting a child and has not faced any charges.
The child was then taken out of the house and placed in custody of the children and families in Florida.
