Naples, Florida (WFLA) – “It’s a real thing ”em””””””””’

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the man was arrested last week while attempting to steal a Pokémon card worth thousands of dollars.

All suspicious after shooting a man at a holiday home, Pasco’s deputies say

Just after midnight on March 24th, deputies responded to a robbery warning at the Pork Barn in Gorka, a business in North Naples, where the bag partially opened and found a blackout.

Francisco Alvarez, 34, of Bonita Springs, was found in three bags, including some $15,000 worth of Pokemon trading cards, along with other items.

It was around 2am that body camera video from the sheriff’s office caught the moment lawmakers stopped Alvarez in Alvarez.

The Sheriff’s Office said Alvarez is a regular at the store. According to NBC’s affiliate WBBH, he was even the first name with the owner and other customers. However, Alvarez had provided two fake names to the sheriff’s office before revealing his true identity.

Two gunmen arrested for murder of a 7-year-old Florida boy: deputies

“Open your Pokémon cards in prison,” the owner of Justin Gorka, a Poke Barn in Gorka, told WBBH.

Alvarez told deputies he was familiar with the products he was stolen and planned to resell them, the arrest affidavit said.

The owner told the outlet that he apologized to Alvarez when he was arrested. The suspect also had cut the store’s lock and had a huge grinder.

“I hope they lock the keys in, man. Stay there, man,” one customer said. “Enjoy Pokemon cards there.”

Alvarez was arrested and charged with felony robbery, giving officers a false identity, grand larceny, tampering with utility and possessing robbery tools.
