Port Charlotte (WFLA) – has been accused of slamming his car in after his ex-girlfriend last week, according to a report from NBC affiliate WBBH.

On the morning of March 21st, a woman called 911 screamed and cryed for help, told the operator that she was chasing her car on a US-41, repeatedly pounding her car.

“He keeps hitting my car, he’s stopping to hit my car, and hitting my car! Ah, my God!”

While stopping at a red light, former boyfriend Wesley Scott McKelloy left the car and approached the victim, WBBH said. The woman still calling 911 said, “He says he’s trying to get into my car. [and] He’s trying to break my window. ”

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to US 41 South near Cochrane Boulevard and arrested McKelloy.

According to court records, McElroy is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was ordered not to contact the victim. He has had several open cases in Charlotte County, including expiring resignations, speeding and operating vehicles with batteries.
