Pembroke Pines, Fla. (WFLA) – Drivers traveling along the section Tuesday 27 were encouraged to wrap windows for a “fish-like” accident.

Pembroke Pines Police Department said an unknown driver dropped “a large amount of fish” on a road near the intersection of US 27 and Pines Boulevard.

Police posted a photo of the scene Tuesday around 7pm, showing that fish had been painted across the road. When one person commented that he asked which type of fish had been dropped, the police station replied, “It’s difficult to tell because fish are currently similar to paste.”

Fire rescues will be sent to hoses down the road, and authorities said they will be temporarily blocked until part of the US 27 is cleared.

How the fish ended on the road remained a mystery.
