MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – Two passengers were arrested Friday after police said they abused a 14-year-old while on a Miami-bound Royal Caribbean cruise ship.
Jose Prudencio Diaz, 36, and Ricardo Daniel Mondragon Real, 37, were charged with multiple crimes, including the indecent and lewd abuse of children between the ages of 12 and 16, according to a report by NBC 6 South Florida.

Both men are Mexican nationals and retain immigrants. Diaz is also facing an additional fee for having sex without disclosing her HIV status, NBC 6 reported.
According to arrest reports, the incident occurred the day before the independence of the Sea, the Royal Caribbean cruise line docked in Port Miami. The 14-year-old victim was in a sauna room and was with Real when he said he had begun to please himself in front of Diaz and him.
The two suspects then begin to touch the 14-year-old boy, and at one point Diaz forces the boy to touch him. Investigators said Rial also abused the victim and forced the boy to commit sexual intercourse.
Diaz and Rial were taken into custody after the ship arrived in Miami on Friday. Both men were denied bonds during a court hearing on Saturday.
“The defendant acted in this case in cooperation with another defendant, both of whom were on the cruise,” the prosecutor told the court. “This shows they were trying to target specific minors and this can be done again.”
NBC has contacted Royal Caribbean for a statement and is waiting for a reply.
