BELGRADE, Fla. (WFLA) – A three-year-old boy accidentally shot his hand with a handgun left on the couch, according to an arrest affidavit.

It was discovered that the infant shot his left hand with a loaded CZ P-10 S handgun left by the coach.

Investigators with the child and family told a young boy in the hospital about the injury when they said, “I shot it… I shot it! I shot it! I was crying.”

The neighbor told the detective that they heard one gunshot, followed by a child’s scream. The screams were heard on a neighbor’s ring camera video and accompanied by the child who saw the child walking towards the parking lot, holding his hand, the affidavit said.
