ISLAMORADA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Tampa man has been in shaky situation after stealing boots and fleeing deputies, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Daveon Hassan Fleming, 29, was accused of stealing a pair of boots from an Islamorada store at 11am Wednesday.

The lawmakers found him after discovering his car near Snake Creek Bridge, but he ran into the mangrove. He then found raw muddy water near Snake Creek.
Deputies were unable to detain him on foot or use the boat.
Fleming was found again around 6pm and escaped to the mangrove. McSO says he swam to the pylon and is found clinging to it.
Fleming was arrested with the help of a civil sailor. He was charged with burglary and resisting arrest.
