FORT PIERCE, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida man has been taken into custody this week after state and federal authorities say they have created multiple social media posts threatening to harm President Donald Trump.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said deputies worked with federal authorities, including the U.S. Secret Service, to investigate “blackmail messages” on 42-year-old Kendall Aaron Todd’s public social media page.

Investigators said Todd had “expressed his intention to cause physical harm” to the president, but he did not further explain the post.

Their investigations have led to members of the SWAT team and Secret Service being sent to Todd’s home in Metzgar Road, Fort Pierce to execute a search warrant.

Todd was arrested for threats of murder or physical harm on an aggressive warrant from St. Lucie County. As of Monday, March 13th, he was held on a $500,000 bond.

No further information was available immediately. The Sheriff’s Office said additional details will be provided as the case progresses.
