Walt Disney World has given us a glimpse into the future of the lounges planned for Spaceship Earth. According to a Monday post on the official Disney Parks blog, the facility is called GEO-82 and is only for adults.
The Geo section features a very scientific, geodetic sphere that resembles the iconic structure of Epcot, and the 82 sections of the name are tied to 1982, when Disney World’s second theme park opened.
“GEO-82 surrounds you with iconic shapes and intricate structures inspired by the instantly recognizable icons of the park,” the post reads. “You’ll sit in the warm metallic tones that echo the Earth of the spaceship in its rich texture and elegant and intimate environment.” It also boasts views of the festive gardens of the new world and the world’s showcase lagoon.

The lounge logo features a sophisticated futuristic type and a G-shaped symbol formed by a triangle, reverberating outside the SSE.
“The GEO-82 will immerse you in the storied history and enduring legacy of this timeless Epcot icon,” according to the official Disney World website.
But wait, there’s a little more. This post also mentions the Pirates of the Caribbean tavern, which will open in Magic Kingdom “later this year.” Visitors can predict “fun drinks for the whole family.” This could mean that the rates are essentially less adult than the new Epcot spot.
Pirates Place, which has not been officially recognized, was first announced in 2023, followed by the announcement of Spaceship Earth in the summer of 2024. Disney said GEO-82 will open this spring, but no exact dates have been shared. The WDW website points out that reservations will be required, but it has not yet been accepted.
The menu is still unknown. According to this week’s post, Epcot Lounge “helps innovative cocktails and impacts small plates globally.”
