TALHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – Four people have been sentenced in connection with a string of state park robberies Thursday.

The robbery investigation began in 2022 after ranger stations in numerous state parks in northern Florida were robbed for equipment, money and merchandise, according to the Florida Attorney General’s Office.

Parks also reported cases of vandalism and money theft from honor boxes posted near the park entrance where visitors can deposit daily fees.

The Attorney General’s office has arrested four individuals. He pleaded guilty to assault, illegal use of two-way communications devices, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and conspiracy. Their names and sentences are as follows:

Chandler Parrish Ellison was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Alyssa Brewer was sentenced to eight years in prison. Kayley Burns was sentenced to seven years in prison. Aaron Higgins was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
