(WJW) – The Ohio company recalls 15,000 oyster crackers that can be contaminated by metals.
Masilon-based Shearer Foods issued a voluntary recall of crackers sold in the US under Aldi, Walmart and Giant Eagle store labels in February.

Crackers can be contaminated with stainless steel wires, and the US Food and Drug Administration now issues Class II-level classifications.
Level II means that exposure “can cause temporary or medically reversible health effects,” according to the FDA.
