Florida Sen. Rick Scott joined his colleagues to announce the reintroduction of the Falun Gong Protection Act. The Act aims to impose sanctions on individuals who have specifically targeted Falun Gong practitioners, or individuals who are responsible for or are involved in forced organ collections. The bill also requires the Secretary of State to report to Congress on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organ transplant policies and practices, and prohibits US cooperation with the CCP on organ transplantation while the evil Chinese government remains in power.
Senators Ted Cruz, Roger Marshall, Ron Johnson, Mike Round and Tom Tillis are co-hosts of the Senate. Rep. Scott Perry leads fellow laws in the House.
“The Chinese Communist Party is one of the world’s worst human rights abusers, and was revealed by the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and the forced removal of organs,” Scott said. “The United States and all freedom-loving nations must stand up and demand accountability against the person responsible for this religious persecution and forced organ collection, and approach it to end the blatant human rights abuses of communist China. I am proud to have joined my colleagues in this law as a critical call for action against the Chinese regime.”
Senator Cruz condemned the attack on China’s religious rights.
“Persecution of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners is an attack on religious freedom and human rights,” Cruz said. It has been a long time since we were able to dismantle the CCP state-sponsored organ collection industry. I urge my colleagues to join me in countering these human rights violations and ensuring that the CCP is held liable. ”
