ATLANTA – Trey Young scored 36 points and Charis Labert added 26 from the bench. The Atlanta Hawks won the Indiana Pacers 120–118 three times in four games on Saturday night.

Oneka Okongwu had 16 points and 16 rebounds for the Hawks.

The Hawks led by 20 points after the first quarter and 17 at halftime, but the Pacers took the lead midway through the fourth quarter, with Atlanta taking the key.

Benedict Maturin scored 30 points for Pacer after missing four games due to a wrist injury. Pacers All-Star Tyrese Haliburton finished fourth in the NBA with Assists at 8.9 per game, but missed out on his second straight game on the hipstrain. Pascal Siakim had 23 points.

Young left the game at 2:58 and played in the third quarter with a thigh injury, but returned four minutes later. He supported the left leg for the rest of the game, but managed 10 points and three assists in the fourth quarter.

Take home

Pacers: Indiana put together a strong second half rally without the best players, but they couldn’t finish their comeback.

Hawks: Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said he thought the Hawks had improved their team at the trade deadline and that Labert retreated that rating on a big night off the bench.

Important moments

Indiana drove 119-116 with 7.4 seconds left, the Pacers drove the floor length, and Shia Kim dunked in under a second, rather than trying a 3-pointer on someone.

Key Statistics

Dyson Daniels’ five steels give him a season 178. This is among any player since Ricky Rubio scored 191 in the 2013-14 season.

next

The Hawks will hold the Six on Monday night in the fifth game of the seven-game homestand. The Pacers will visit the Bulls Monday night.
