Sunrise, FL – Talk about a dynamic duo.
The Florida Panthers defeated the Columbus Blue Jacket 3-0 at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday as Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart each posted three points.
Improved to 39-21-3, the defending Stanley Cup champion remains at the top of the Atlantic division.
“We’ve been on the same team, on the same line for a long time,” Barkov said of his chemistry with Reinhardt. “We think the same way about the game.”
In the zone, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 16 shots he faced to score the fourth shutout of the season.
He owns a 9-2-0 record in his last 11 games, and boasts a stellar .942 save rate in that period.
In a reasonable air, Bobrovsky is currently 10th in the NHL’s highest victory list of all time with Tony Esposito.
“It’s always like a different milestone for Bobby,” said defensive man Aaron Eckbrad. “We are extremely proud of him and we are pleased that he supports us.”
In the first period of power play, the Panthers went 1-0 at 5:58 on far side shots from their favorite spots in the slot when the Panthers beat Elvis Melzlikins.
