Talahassee, Fla. (WFLA) – The flag flies semi-staffed in honor of Lincoln Diaz Ballat, who passed away on March 3rd.
Díaz-Balart was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1986 and served until 1989, according to a new release from the Governor’s Office.

From 1989 to 1992, Diazbarato served one term in the Florida Senate before being elected to the US House of Representatives until 2011 to serve in Florida’s 21 Congressional districts.
Diaz Barato was a leader in the Cuban-American community and an advocate for communism and the Castro regime, the release said.
Gov. Ron DeSantis declared on Friday that he would fly the flag with his semi-staff from sunrise to sunset.
