Update (11:20am): Nas Pensacola officials said Navy security forces and local law enforcement agencies responded to the “active shooter situation” at Corry Station.
Authorities said three shots were fired and the phone was called.
“Our security team responds quickly and skillfully to our local law enforcement partners,” Col. Chandra Newman said. “Our concern is always the safety and welfare of our service members and their families. Security forces will continue to work with responding law enforcement agencies to handle crime scenes.”
Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said he swept the building and found no signs of an active shooter.
Simmons said he couldn’t find anyone injured.
