Sunrise, Fla. — Florida Panthers Hockey Operations & General Manager Bill Zetto announced today that the club has agreed to sign forward Jesper Boqvist on a two-year contract extension until the 2026-27 season.

“Jesper has proven to be a very competitive and dynamic forward that can be used in any situation,” Zito said. “He fits seamlessly into our group and is excited to continue his career with the Florida Panthers.”

The 26-year-old Boqvist scored a career-high 12 goals this season, scoring 22 points (12-10-22) in 59 games in his first season with the Panthers in 2024-25. Of his 12 tallys, 11 were third tied among Florida forwards, with three being the winners of the game.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Swedish Fanne accumulated 91 points (46-45-91) in the 295 NHL games between Florida (2024-25), Boston Bruins (2023-24), and the New Jersey Devils (2019-20-2022-23).

Before his North American career, Boqvist appeared in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) season, scoring 55 points (16-39-55) in 98 games for Brynäs If.

On the international stage, Bokvist won Silver Medal with Sweden at the 2018 IIHF U20 World Junior Championship, 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship and 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

Boqvist was originally selected by the New Jersey Devils in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft (36th overall).

The Florida Panthers join in the action this season! 2024-25 Single Game Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased from SeatGeek.com or the Amerant Bank Arena Box Office (Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm).
