DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man was pulled Friday to blow a red light officer who walked and chased his foot down the streets of Daytona Beach, police said.
X’avier McCall, 26, was unable to provide a license to Daytona Beach officers. According to body camera videos, he claims to be in his grandmother’s car.

He took off after the officer asked McCall to get out of the car.
The video is cut by officers chasing the suspect chasing the street through the intersection into a parking lot. Weaving between the cars, McCall enters what appears to be a residential neighbourhood.
Backup arrives and McCall is cornered and taken into custody.
“Imperfect, buds, get up and get up so we can search you,” I heard officers tell the suspect on video.

Police allow McCall to hold his breath as he confirms his name and identity.
“Oh man, you’re much younger than us,” the officer said regarding his heavy breathing.
“I smoked too much,” replied McCall.
“You’re too young and you have to stop smoking to breathe like that from that short little run. I thought you were Usain Bolt,” the officer joked. “If I stop smoking, I might regain that stamina.”
McCall was arrested on May 2nd and taken to branch prison. Court records show that he is facing accusations of driving with suspended or revoked licenses and obstructing officers without violence.
