(Kron) – A mug shot has been released for a woman arrested in connection with the case of a Delta pilot who was arrested at San Francisco International Airport and charged with a child sex crime.
On Tuesday, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 45-year-old Jennifer Powell on charges including sexual offences against a child.

A day ago, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office announced that Powell had been charged with a felony complaint.
Powell’s arrest followed Sunday’s arrest of 34-year-old Rustom Bhagwagar, a Delta pilot and Florida resident, and was taken into custody as soon as he landed on SFO Sunday night. Bagwagar, announced Tuesday by prosecutors, is scheduled to be arrested on 24 felony charges, including engaging in sexual activity with a child under the age of 10 and oral mating with a child, including Wewd’s behavior on the child and aggravating the child’s sexual assault.

Authorities said abuse occurred between 2018 and 2023 in Contra Costa County. Bagwagar, a currently Florida resident, is being held at the Martinez Detention Center on $15 million bail. Powell is also being held at the Martinez Detention Center.
Like Bugwagal, Powell also faces 24 counts of oral mating and sexual penetration with children under the age of 10, forced penetration to children, and aggravating sexual assault in children.
Authorities said their identity will not be released due to the victim’s age and the nature of the suspected crime.
Powell and Bagwagar, who were arrested in court on Wednesday, could both face 15 years of life in prison.
