LEHIARE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Lee County deputy filled her hands Thursday to try and squeeze a wild boar that hit someone’s home on LehiAcre.
The Sheriff’s Office shared body camera video from deputies responding to the scene.
The animals shattered the sliding glass doors and shrouded unsuspecting residents in the living room. The video shows broken glass covering the floor of the house.

Looking at the animals next to the furniture in the living room shows how big it was. The only one reactive adjutant would say, “G-Osh!”
Wild boar, also known as wild pigs, is not native to Florida and currently lives in every county in the state. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Committee has a population of hundreds of years that could potentially be taken over by Spanish conqueror Hernando DeSoto in 1539.

The boar reaches up to 6 feet long and weighs over 150 pounds. Although there are no unprovoked attacks, they are extremely dangerous to humans and can carry numerous diseases.
Deputies responding to this house were very familiar with the wild side of these animals, and the boars charged them several times, causing one police officer to slap it on the head and run away. “You better stop it!” he says, pushing it away.
At one point, they try to try it using ropes, but the beast is unable to capture it. Eventually, the officers were able to move it away and return it to the forest.
