ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida police officers had to deal with an unusual call Friday morning.

Several drivers reported that they found swans shaking along State Route 408 near Bumby Avenue in Orlando before 8am.

The officer was caught on traffic cameras chasing swans on a busy highway. They had to close all eastbound lanes until the bird was captured, Wesh reported.

Once the swan was captured, Orlando police said they were taken to a home on Lake Eola for further evaluation.

“The swan doesn’t seem to call Lake Eola home, but I’m pleased that there is no room for harm now,” Orlando police posted on X.

WESH reported no injuries or crashes were reported due to the incident.
