TALHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) – Chuck E. Cheese is best known as a place where children can become children, but earlier this summer in Tallahassee, the place where children see mice arrested.
The woman told police she believed a restaurant employee had stole a credit card and used it in a store she didn’t shop. She said she saw the last card at a child’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese a month ago.

The arrest affidavit said the woman obtained surveillance footage from one of the stores where the cards were fraudulently used, and immediately recognized the suspect as an employee of Chuck E. Cheese. The man was later identified as 41-year-old Jermel Jones.
When police arrived at the restaurant on July 23, they looked at Jones at the front door and said they looked nervous when they spotted the officer. He left the front, and another employee took his place. The employee identified Jones as wearing a mouse outfit.

In the video, you can hear one officer saying to Jones, “Chuck E., come with me, Chuck E.” Jones temporarily resists the police officers who hold him in, but in the end they can lead him into a police car.
After officers explained why he was in custody, Jones denied allegations that he was using a stolen credit card. Police quickly found the credit card in question in his front pocket.
Jones was arrested and charged with credit card theft, criminal use of personal identification information and misuse of credit cards totaling over $100.
