Gainesville, Fla. (WFLA) – Along this Florida Nature Trail, it’s the world of Gator-Ett Gator.
The video shows a large crocodile estimated to be more than 10 feet long, with the boy’s crocodile trapped in his chin becoming much smaller.

The reptile is a guaranteed sight along Gainesville’s Ratua Trail, with dozens of scaly creatures tanning along the canal banks and even on the trail itself.
In the video, the larger gator shakes the limp body of future lunches vigorously, as seen by the breathless hiker.
“The crocodile grabbed something small,” said Dawn Bolt, who filmed the encounter. “I’ve been from a Grand Rapids visit and we saw 100 gators. A huge gator. I think they’re celebrating their victory!!!”
Crocodiles may discover snacks in their own species in the wild. It may seem scary, but wildlife officials say it’s just a part of nature.
According to Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, cannibalism is the highest mortality rate for gators, followed by human types of combat and hunting. Adult crocodiles may be the “most important predator” of juvenile gators, FWC writes.
