Temperatures early Monday morning haven’t fallen to record lows in Washington, D.C., but it’s still cold outside.
What time is the presidential inauguration today?
Vice President-elect J.D. Vance will be the first to be sworn in, and Trump will be sworn in at noon.
The ceremony was moved inside the U.S. Capitol because subzero temperatures were expected.

Temperatures in the early morning hours of Inauguration Day were still dropping before sunrise. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and wind chill warning for the area, which is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
“Dangerously cold temperatures are possible at times into Thursday morning,” the National Weather Service said.
